Indication

* Hypercholesterolemia: reduces total and LDL cholesterol levels in patients with primary hypercholesterolemia (Type IIa and IIb)

Dose

*The recommended initial dose is 5 - 10 mg daily as a single dose at night.

*Patients treated with immunosuppressants along with HMG Co-A reductase inhibitors, should be given the lowest recommended dose.
*
Patients with impaired renal function do not require dose adjustment (initial dose 5 mg and closely monitored)
